MFD missing radio & computer info?

Hi all,
Anyone know why I don't get radio or computer info on my MFD (multi-function display)?
When I press the scroll button it displays 'Radio - out' and 'CDC - out'. Time, date and temp are all ok.
Its a 51 plate SE.

Do you have an aftermarket stereo.

If so then the radio and CDC info wont come up.

From some posts on here, the only head units that can work with the MFD are sony ones. You can buy an adapter that send the info to the MFD.

The stereo is the standard one that came with the car from new (with remote control on the steering column).
Very strange....
