Was looking at buying the aluminium effect dash styling kit - bought it for my Golf and my Corsa in the past but v.expensive so then thought I would colour code the centre console!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THE FACING THAT SITS OVER THE AIRCON/RADIO etc. Have seen it done on a few sites and it looks sh+t hot!

ok its fairly simply:

· The hood thing that sits over the radio and temp display - just push it away from you towards the wind screen. it can then just be lifted off.

· the bit that goes around the radio and aircon buttons etc is held in place by a couple of screws that are easily seen once the hood thing has been removed.

sorry I can speak German so its not to hard.

But what you can do is open a second window and in that window open

babelfish.altavista.com

then you have the option to eneter the url of the German site and it will translate it as you browse. You may have problems with picture links so best to follow along on the non translated site at the same time.

i colour coded the inside of my first car and it looked great - never chipped or cracked. You can order paint e.g firedancy from Pug dealers and if you prime the area with Halford flexible primer then it will last a lifetime - remember to lacquer it at the end.

I finally found another CC owner in Hannover - his name's Shorty - and we will be meeting up soon so i can see his completely colourcoded car. AND..he's the man with the remote roof...can't wait to see it in action!

Shorty is seriously mental (in a nice way)

he has played with his car so much its like something from a different manufacturer.
