Ive only had my car 3 days and am soo confused! the fuel light came on yet the fuel range showed 50 miles still in the tank, i let it go down to 29 miles then put £5 of petrol in the car.. Now where the range is its just showing the horizontal segmants and the needle hasnt moved, its like i didnt put anything in there... how can i get the miles to display again?

The fuel light will come on when the car calculates that you are down to the last 50 miles worth of fuel.

If you run it with the tank nearly empty all the time you will increase the chances of condensation in the fuel tank. That can create problems with water in your fuel. Better to run it with the tank half full or more. Fill it right up and you'll probably find that the display resets itself and returns to normal.

Are you sure your display is still set to show range left? Try toggling through by pressing end of right hand stalk. Should eventually show range left on what fuel you now have in tank.

£5 aint alot of fuel less than a gallon.
that would not even cover the bottom of the tank :)
