hi hoepfully someone can help me
ive read it a few times on here about this roof problem but there never seems to be an answer

basically i start the sequence,
boot covers is over,
unlock catches,
windows go down,
parcel shelf retracts,
boot lid lifts up,
roof starts folding back and then stops half way, the alarm sounds that terrifying noise that gives me nightmares, i then either start the process to put the roof back up and it goes fine, or if im daring then i let go of the switch and try again, with the roof 1/2 way down, if i do this then the roof falls down slowly into place, but at the same time so does the boot lid, if im not careful the whole lot crashes into each other, when this all goes down the roof is in the boot but the boot lid wont clip shut, last time i tried this i started having a panic attack and never wanted to touch it again.

ive called peugeot and they have put me in for a "roof check" costing £50 on the 30th december, im fearing the worst as no one seems to have any advice on this!!!

even if it is a big problem, there must be someone other than peugeot that can fix it, but is it a mechanic or an auto electrician, and can anyone suggest one in the sounth east, east or london area?

i would be really greatful for any advice or for anyone to just let me know what they done when they had ths problem, im now losing sleep, the bloody thing terrifies me!

Sounds like a failed microswitch. I'd let the experts deal with it. St Peters Auto Centre in Oadby, Leicester are a good Peugeot Indy but they are a bit far from you.

No, not myself. But others on the forum have, as you'll see from the posts. If I had it happen to me I'd take it to St Peters Auto Centre as they should be able to sort it. They're booked to do my daughter's cambelt change next week on her 405 Turbo diesel. Have quoted £120 + VAT for that so their prices are reasonable. That's not a job I'd fancy doing in my garage in winter!

Why not give them a ring. I think you'll find them helpful. Let us know how it goes.

Enjoy your time in Nottingham. I used to live there, and my son lives there now. Lovely city.

Best wishes, Ron

Julie, I called at St Peters Autos and found that while they do Peugeot servicing and repairs, they do not work on the 206cc roof. In the event of problems with the 206cc roof they would refer the work to the main dealer in Leicester, Robins & Day.

Sorry to have misled you. If I were you I'd keep that appointment on 30 December with your local Peugeot dealer. Good luck.
