I don't get the clunk but they do stick on, especially after it's been raining, as the discs seems to go rusty very quickly. Sorry I don't know the solution...maybe someone else can help us both?

I take it theses aren't Peugeot standard parts Grandad? If not, why not? I've experienced this before with my brothers 306, had to call the AA out to release them. I'm sure it must cause damage when the brakes stick on so why don't Peugeot do something to prevent this happening?

No, not standard Pug parts. It isn't just Peugeots that suffer from the problem. Car manufacturers have to keep their costs down to make affordable cars. Stainless steel is more expensive.

I normally have this issue after cleaning a car, but not just the CC. Brake dust residue collects between disc and pad and once dry it causes the brakes to stick on. Common with most disc braked pads. Suspect your other cars may have had drums at the rear, which do not have this issue. If it keeps occurring. I would suggest cleaning as much brake dust from the wheels and brakes. Washing-up liquid is ideal, as it will get rid on any grease. Just be careful when you first drive the car after cleaning, as the brakes wont be as efficient. You could also check the brake cable isnt seized by getting the rear wheel off the ground and checking the wheels spin freely with the brake isoff.

I cannot speak from experience, but would be intrested if ceramic brakes suffer with the same. Lotus made Alloy discs for the Elise and they never rusted.
