Hi everyone, I have just joined this forum, I am turning to the internet to find the solutions rather than the Dealers, after I spent my evening reading all of your messages, its better to ask you people first. I read a lot of messages about motors spluttering and possible reasons, causes.

But one problem that resembles mine is mentioned by 1 guy a few years ago.

The problem is my 206 does not like the rain.

The problem only happens when it rains, in the past 3 years its happened about 5 times, the problem is its comming to the rainy seaon soon and I need to find the problem. In the summer time it works without any problem (at all) only when it rains. another thing you might say is that its allways bloody raining. Im actually English but I live in Hungary, here the summer is very hot and the winters very cold ( which is also not a problem) but there is sudden rain storms which really cause this problem.

The other problem : (theres allways 2 problems :)

Oil indicator : in the dry weather it shows the correct reading, in the wet weather it shows empty ??

has anyone else experienced the same problem ??

You have a bad connection some where, moisture on a electrical connector will give faulty indications, so you will have to clean and protect the electrical connectors, use contact cleaner for cleaning and DC-4 silicone grease for protection.

Added to my previous message, an oil indicator does not show full or empty, it shows the oil pressure!!!

I think he means the oil level indicator that comes up when you first switch on the ignition.

Whooops ok guys

Sorry I mean the oil pressure
When I first turn on the ignition it shows :

When the weather is wet or Moist 00_ _ _ _ or _ _ _ _

When the weather is OK 00000

The other problem ( misfiring) maybe I have solved it, i traced a wire (from the 4 wires that go to the spark plugs) it was quiet unusual as one wire had another attached to the side of it, but it had been cut (not used I assume / but why is a good question ) this wire I traced back to the cylinder block and this end had also been cut and the wires were bare. I covered both ends with electricians tape and then sprayed water onto this area. I did not get the same misfire at 2000 rpm ? I am not sure if I have solved it as it has not rained here yet.

Thanks for your replys
