How to get ecu part number from VIN

Hi,

The workshop refuses to let me know the part number of the ECU.

My car details: Peugeot 206cc 1.6 year 2003
VIN: VF32DNFUR42801951

Anyway I can get the part number for the ECU from the VIN? One mechanic told me I can, based on the last 8 digits.

hello you have a import 206. with a tu5jp4 engine and your ecu is a bosch me7.4.4 or me7.4.5 changed on the year. both ecu are very similiar.
