Happens with me occasionally. Lock it on the key, or put the roof up first. It is a pretty precise procedure to use the exterior alarm only button as you leave the car.

I turn off the ignition, press the internal protection button next to the airbag switch under the steering wheel until the warning light by the emergancy light switch comes on. I then get out of the car and lock it by remote with the key.
I have tried just locking the car manualy by using the key in the door with the roof down and it was fine, but I don't know if the alarm is then on or not.

Hi, only had my cc for couple weeks and my internal alarm doesnt appear to work with roof down - have waved my hands in front of it but nothing. Not sure with roof up. The external one works tho. I think the internal alarms are very sensitive, so guess mine has been deactivated (somehow?) I know the internal alarm on my other 206 (not cc) was sensitive and I ended up just covering the sensors with blu tack, which worked a treat, saves keep having the disable the internal alarm by the button.

Where and how do we get this software upgrade? How much does it cost? I just deadlock the car with the key now. I dont think it turns on the alarm system but you cant open the car door and its normally just to go into the shop etc.
