Hello to all you 206cc owners,
I quite like the idea of a 206cc diesel. I would like any opinions on them. One thing that worries me is that if the roof motor packs up, is it easy to put the roof up and down manually ?.

Someone else will comment more on the diesel as we have a 1.6 petrol which is fine for us. We average over 40mpg and the servicing is minimal. With a diesel you'd get 50+ but more servicing I guess, and your exhaust system should last longer too perhaps. Pug have a good reputation for their diesel engines.
Manual operation of the roof is strictly for emergencies only! Not easy apparently, and it is heavy. Just follow the instructions precisely in the owner's manual for normal roof operation, and only operate it with the engine running and you shouldn't have a problem with it. Many problems can be self-inflicted, e.g. by turning off the ignition while the roof is in the middle of being opened or closed.
Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search for a good diesel 206cc.
