Hi,

Well, it's been a sunny day and alas my roof makes all the necessary bleeping noises...when you unlatch the roof...then all I get is a rapid succession on bleeps and nothing happens.

The windows work fine when the latches are in place for the roof but they don't even start to go down when I pull the switch!!
I'm distraught!!!
I've tried the wee white loops and the played with the sliding thing in the boot but to no avail!!

Anyone got any ideas?
Or can anyone recommend a good place to get it seen to round the Slough/Windsor/Berks way!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi,

Thanks for you're reply........I've read through that link and I get the bong when I unclip the roof brackets so it seems to know they are all fine but I'm getting the bleeping as soon as I pull the lever to lower the roof!!
I'm too scared to touch anything to serious as I am only a girl!!!
Just nervous to take it to a garage....always feel as if I'm being fleeced!!

Sounds like a microswitch but I'm no expert. Sometimes it can be the one in the boot where the pullout blind hooks on at the left hand side. Nothing wrong with being a girl, or a blonde at that. My eldest daughter's a blonde, born in Essex too! but she knows her cars. If you're not confident with them then it sounds as if you need to seek help from a Pug specialist. I'm up in Leicestershire but maybe someone from your area (Slough/Windsor/Berks) will come on the forum and be able to recommend somewhere.
A Google search came up with these, but I don't know them:
