Hi folks,

Back in 2005 I bought a 52 plate 2litre 206cc and the hydrolic tappets were replaced under warranty (luckilly)within 2 weeks. I have just picked up a 2006 1.6litre allure, with only 27000 miles on the clock (thinking this wouldn't be affected), but the first morning after collecting from the garage, it seems quite rough on start up and quite often I stall it at the end of the drive - does anyone know if the 1.6 suffers from this same prob - I'd have thought being a 2006, they would have modified them if it is - could it be anything else before I take it back to the gargage? It's fully serviced, but the last service was at 20000, and no note of anything in-between being done - ie oil change, or anything else i should look out for?

Thank folks

Hey everyone - when I bought the 1.6, I never knew they were affected by the "hydrolic lifter probs" but guess what - how unlucky can I be - 2 peugeot 206cc's, 5 years apart, different engines - same problems...... At least it's under warranty.... phew.

Anyone else had this on the 1.6?

Thanks

Phew, Thanks Reap, called the garage tonight and they said they were only replacing the exhaust side, which made me worry that this might end up having to be done to the other side when it's out of warranty.... Can you tell me if this is usually a good fix and I shouldn't have any more probs? Is this going to be a job that will need re-done in another 27k miles?

Thanks
