After a lurking around this forum for a while, i've finally registered, and am only a day away from picking up my first 206cc (53 plate).

BUT, I have a few questions.

1) I have the 2003 1.6 S. What does the 'S' stand for, and what extras, if any, does it include?
2) It has the standard CD player. Will this play CD-Rs?
3) I'm already getting smacked left, right and centre with the good 'ol "it's a girl's car" comments. Well, while I couldn't really give a damn, I could do with a few witty replies for my ammo-bag.

Thanks in advance, and of course, Hello everyone! ;)

S = Sport. It is the basic model. No extras but it's adequately equipped.
Most folk who say its a girls car are only jealous because they haven't got one. By the way ours is my wife's car!!!! Mine is the Golf Estate. I drive the 206cc more than my wife does though. I bought it for her birthday 3 years ago and it is so much fun in the good weather. I'm sure you'll find the CD player plays CD-R's.

Just a tip, read the owners manual thoroughly. Most problems are self-inflicted through ignorance.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new car.

Thanks guys :)

As for the manual, aye, i intend to. There was a post on here somewhere about turning off the ignition while the roof is in motion, and the problems that it can cause. Gave me a 'Ahhh, I really need to find out what I can and can't do' moment.

I can't wait to pick the car up, thanks for the welcome.

I bought my girlfriend a lovely black CC 2.0 Allure a couple of weeks ago after her Renault Clio was written off.

She loves it, (and so do I). Bring on the sunshine.

Funny how all our mates who are male call it a girls car and all our female friends love it!!!!!

By the way. I am new here so Hi to all. :D
