Looks like it has rusted at the back box and the exhaust has now dropped and is blowing

Reckon this would still be covered by the standard Pug Warranty or not?

Or just classed as wear & tear?

I think exhausts are generally classed as wear and tear, how old is your CC?

54 plate - from reading some old posts on the discussion board - it seems that the average life of a 206cc exhaust is 4 years. However I only purchased it from the dealer last May.

Does it need the whole exhaust replacing or just one section?

Without seeing it it would be hard to tell.

Warrenties on new Peugeots at that time were 3 years, and you likely only got a 3 or 6 month warrenty when you bought second hand so it will be down to you to pay for replacement of the exhaust.

take it to a garage and get them to take a look.

Peugeot will probably want to replace it all, which will probably include replacing the cat. So do not go there. Ring around local exhaust centres to see if they will weld a mid section in place. Note 206 exhaust need to be cut and welded to fit and so ask if they have had experience of 206 cc exhausts and what they believe is involved.

Oh and I would be very surprised if it is covered by the Warranty.

If you search on the forum you will find that someone got a complete Stainless Steel system for sensible money. If you can't find the post yourself let me know and I'll find it for you. The exhaust specialist was out Cambridge way if my memory serves me correctly.

Luckily was ok, was just the middle box and set me back £66

Happily, later that day a football treble came up and I won £54

£12 aint too bad in the end!
