My MPG reading is gone from the display :s

Can anyone help me out, i hav a 55 plate 206cc 1.6 and i took the original clarion stereo out to try a sony but ended up putting back the clarion and since then the MPG is no longer on the dashboard display instead there is a funny icon and a permenant 16 mph there??
anybody know how to get the MPG reading back??

hmmmmm, it doesn't fit exactly but this is kind of like an old problem I used to have on my 206 hatch with the center display. When you fitted an aftermarket HU, sometimes the clock would malfunction, the solution was to disconnect the battery for about 10-15 minutes, which lets the on board computer reset.

Is worth a try I would say.
