Not sure if this is the done thing, or if I've got the best place to post this message, but mods please move if you see fit.

My sister had her 2005 206CC stolen some time between about 11am on Christmas Day and 10am Boxing Day from Idle near Bradford.

Its an Aegean Blue 1.6 CC Azure with whitey/creamey/grey leather seats and GTI 16" alloys.

Reg plate YB05 BLN.

No distinguishing features other than the 16" 9 spoke GTI alloys rather than the dogleg 5 spokes as it should have come with ( like this http://www.devonshire-car-specialists.c ... 080014.JPG ).

The paint on the drivers door near the handle is a very slightly different shade if you look closely too and all alloys are quite badly curbed. It has a hot potch of tyres too.

It was stolen as part of a house burglary so the theiving scum have the keys too.

If anyone is around Bradford, or nearby please could you keep an eye out for this car and call the police if you see it or are offered it.

My sister is devastated that its gone.

Thanks

David

Sorry to hear that, what scum bags.

This forum is definetly the correct place to post because any potential buyers are going to be looking here.

A note to anyone buying 2nd hand parts for 206cc's should be checking what vehicle it has come from. Perhaps the moderators could duplicate this mail to the "for sale and wanted" sections.

Good news! The car has been found. Only a few miles from where it was taken! B&$t&rds!

Don't know all the details yet but they've said it appears to be undamaged.

My dad and sister are going to collect it from the compound (*and pay £170 for the privilage!).

They've recommended getting the locks changed as the crims still have a set of keys.

Any ideas what this might cost? Guess its all new keys and barrel and the ecu transponder changing too?

Surely all that'll be covered by insurance won't it?

We're trying to avoid a claim on the insurance if possible. My sister can't afford to lose the years of no claims she has. We were hoping to pay recovery fee and then just have a new key cut and transponders recoded.
