i've got a 2.0 se 206 cc y reg, yesterday it seemed to use a lot of fuel compared to normal(doing the same journey as always) after getting home and parking the car up about 2 hours later went back to it to start it up, was turning over but wouldn't start till i applied some acclerator, then as soon as i took my foot off the acclerator it cut out again, also the clock dispaly changed a0time and instead of say said JEU?? does anyone one what could be wrong??

Its better to put check on the faulty code, then just tell them to delete any faulty code. I had the same problem few months ago, too many faulty codes like gearbox faulty, anti polution fault and much much more so i sent it to the dealer and they told me to change some items in the engine but i just told them to reset the codes 1st n for now its fine..... but when i had that problem i change a number of things like starter, battery and gear oil.

Give it a try.....

im having a similiar problem but my engine cuts out in mid journey when im travelling around 30mph or less. The stop light then appears and i cannot restart it for at least 10 minuets. It's a diesel 206, already taken it to two garages including a peougeot one and had various bits replaced and looked at eg fuel filtered. Wondered if anyone would know if it would be anything to do with the stop solenoid or what it could be?

Welcome to the forum Missy. I'd guess at a faulty crankshaft position sensor, or have they already replaced it with a new one? Cheap enough if it is that. Just letting garages guess and relace bits could cost you a fortune. Don't pay their bill if they don't cure it. If they've tried to cure it and you've paid them, take it back and ask them to do it properly else you want your money back.

If it is not that then we'd need more information about your car for someone to make a better diagnosis. However, as most of our cars are petrol engined 206cc's, as mine is, most owners here may not have the experience you need.
