Hi I'm new here

I purchased a 53 plate 1.6 Allure a few weeks ago and am loving her  Her name's Margarita and she's a tart! If it's not rainin' she takes her top off :D

I recently got the V5 through and want to check the engine number but I can't for the life of me find it under the bonnet, can anyone help?

Cheers,

Thar

I/D features are listed on page 121of owner's manual.
Manufacturer's plate (in the boot)
Serial number on the bodywork (in the boot)
Serial number on the fascia
What makes you concerned that the engine may have been changed?

Thanks GrandadMonkey. Not particularly concerned about the engine, just thought I would check the details match.

The service record isn't the original one though. The VIN has been very obviously over-written on the inside cover and seems to belong to a different car. Got the car from a main dealer...I know I should have queried it with them but I can't face the hassle TBH.

OK Thar, I understand now why you're asking.
I've had a look on the other site and found this

Hope it helps.

Thanks for going to that trouble GrandadMonkey.

I will have a good look but haven't found anything as described in that post so far.
