Yesterday I was driving and heard a beep, then the message 'antipollution fault'. Then I had absolutely no acceleration - the engine was running, but there was no power at all.

I crawled to a halt, stopped the car and switched off the engine for a couple of minutes, then started up again. I got power back, but the engine light and the antipollution fault message remained on.

Got a few miles towards home and the same thing happened again. Starting the car again was no problem, but I had nothing under the accelerator again and again. I had to switch the engine off, lock the doors and wait this time, before it started again.

Got home without problem after that, though the antipollution message and engine light stayed on.

Hope anyone can shed any light on this, rang my local Peugeot garage and they sounded clueless before telling me I couldn't book the car in for over a week.

What with my roof not working, my headlights switching themselves on for no apparent reason (I only have an 02 plate 1.6 CC, so no automatic lights) and now this, I'm starting to think I'm jinxed!
