white loops

Does any one know if those little white loops should be sitting in the top hole or the bottom one? I had the roof fixed the other week and got really excited when I saw the sun out today. Had been going around topless most of the day but when I tried to get the roof down I wasnt getting the ready beep. I moved both the white hopes and then got the ready beep but I was too afraid to try the roof incase it got stuck. So if anyone could enlighten me it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
