Does anyone know how much an ecu costs and whether or not there is a seperate one that operates the roof. Thanks

yes theres a seperate ecu for the roof,tis in the boot on the ns,under parcel shelf carpet.
i think from memory they bout Â£120 ish.i have abrand newie in a box if intrested for beer tokens? :0
what makes you think its not working correctly?

I have had a problem with the roof and the faults that have been showing are for micro switches. The guy in the garage has changed the switches and a fault still shows with the boot catch which he changed, apparently 2001 boot catch is attached to the two micro switches either side near the little white loops. So he thinks the fault maybe with the ecu. does this ring any bells cause I dont really understand electrics on the car more of an engine girl myself.

have to check wiring diagrams, what probs you had? roof not open,close? beeps when you pull the switch ,is it all the time? etc etc. tis normaly one of the 8 microswitchs that have failed.all of them go to the roof ecu.

The beep is constant the roof hasnt opened for about 4 months and all this time I've had that beep. Pug told me it was the pump but this guy who works only on pugs has the same testing machines told me it was the micro switches. Two switches near the little white hooks either side of the boot and the one in or near the boot catch he replaced them all and the roof has been working but he said he left if for an hour and then a fault with the boot catch came back but this fault is intermitant and he doesnt know if it is the ecu or the wiring to the boot catch. So he said he was going to test them but I don't know. ooh yeah the back demister doesnt work now either which it did before, even when the roof wasnt working.

i see, pm me your last 8 numbers of your chassis number and ill look up the wiring and see what feeds what and what goes where
