Hi
My 206 has a problem with near and offside [h]front brakes binding [/h]to the point they smoke ! on an infrequent basis and up until now nobody seems to be able to get close to fixing the cause.
Somedays it will be fine - others it will happen within a few miles - seems that going up steep hills "releases" the brakes when they are binding. No obvious braking combination causes the on set of the problem. Rear brakes seem to be fine and not affected
I have had new discs, new pads , new front hoses and still the problem occurs.
New callipers, master cylinder and brake servo have been suggested but with no guarantee that it will be the cure - expensive approach to diagnostics.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Any suggestions ? Thanks.

yes. tis common. you probebly find your brake light switch is sticking or pushed in to far.acts upon the same bar as your brake pedal, causing the brakes to bind on until cooked.
nsf footwell look up under dash, ull see brake switch(white in colour)
pull it out and push back in so that the switch nubbing on the end is fully pressed in and no further. should be good then
