I had a big problem like that one time when I was racing in Formula Ford and production sports cars in the same season. There was often a problem with clashing dates for the two championships but one race day both races were at the same circuit, and the prod sports was the race immediately after the FF. I was on pole for the prod sports so they couldn’t let the cars out onto the track until I was there, just to make things worse for the organisers, I won the FF race so they were delayed even further while I went round on the lap of honour.
So it was all a bit of a rush for the start of the race swapping from one car to the other. In no time the lights were green, off we all went charging up to the first corner, I was really having a good day, and out braked everyone. It was as I turned into the corner that I realised I had just used the Formula Ford braking point.
Luckily there are no barriers there, just a field. I ended up so far into the field that the tow truck couldn’t get to me, they had to find a tractor to pull me out.

Don’t worry Pete, the last time I drove a race car was 10 years ago, but the voices in my head keep telling me I can still do the things I used to do. Ill be the one disappearing backwards off the track and being red flagged coz I cant keep it under control.
The only thing I have in common with Stirling Moss is that he and I share a birthday with Damon Hill.

I just got back from Rye House (Went to watch my Speedway team whip the pants off the home team.
) Whilst there I took a look at the Kart track. Looks a good 'un Lots of radius corners of varying speeds and a long straight saw a few go off on the long sweeping corner nearest the entrance
Can't wait til Sunday
