Why don't you have a CC anymore? Not because of a leaky roof is it?! I live near the city centre, just off York Road. How about you? Are there any CC meets held in Leeds?
I sold my CC for several reasons, mainly the cost of ownership - I was doing a fair amount of mileage (11000 in less than 6 months) and the 2.0 litre engine is hardly economical. Also the insurance for me was terrible (over 1400 quid). I'm also currently renting and want to get my own place at some point so need to start saving money for a deposit etc.

As for probems with my CC, I had very little compared to some people here. It has never leaked and I have never had major engine or roof problems. I've had a few rattles and the exhaust manifold needed tightening but apart from that everything was peachy.

I live near Headingley (weetwood to be precise - very near the ringroad)so not that far from you. There are quite a few people joining from the Leeds area so maybe we can get a local meet together.

Oh yeah, can appreciate what you're saying about the cost of havin the CC! I think modifications to mine will have to wait for a long time yet :(
Have seen a few CC's round and about in Leeds, would def be up for a meet somewhere (unless it's on a Sunday in which case I'm usually still way over the limit to drive) :D :D :D
Lovin it! Specially when the roof doesn't leak;)

Hi All,

Was really nice to meet you all at Thorpe Park, Thought it was best with the kids in tow that we took them off to the Kiddie areas,

And we had to shoot off early as Richard had an Early flight on Monday Morning, (Works out in Los Angeles),

Next meet we will get rid of the kids for the day and make more of a day of it, very sad that we missed out on the drinkies at the end of the day!

I'm well up for a Leeds meet - especially if it ties in with revisiting my favourite pubs!! Would be willing to sleep in the car but the offer of a space to doss wouldn't go a miss! ;)

Regarding insurance quotes try Elephant.co.uk we got ours for £600 and we are just 25 so I am sure that some other can get it cheaper.

Just be aware that Elephant offer 10 month policies by default - you may find it cheaper to go for a 12 month policy if you work out how much it costs per month.

3.It was great to meet all new faces, special mentions must go to Burge (how nice is she?), Lyndon (exactly as I imagined in all my late night fantasies – WHAT! Shut up CB), Aussie Tim (only been a member about a week, but a cool bloke)
Awww CB nice of you to say so. Bit dissappointed though to have never had a marriage proposal from Wheely Pete. I must be the only one!!

Hiya Chew! Definitely would like to get a Leeds/Up North! meet organised although we are a bit short on Theme parks. Exscape might be good though when it finally opens at Glasshoughton. I notice you are just off York Road. My side of Leeds then as I am in Garforth. Like Mattb I went to the meet last weekend - it doesn't seem far to go in a CC on a nice day. Although I did cheat and stay with my cousin in North London the night before. Didn't last time though and set off at about 4.30 am and with Rob was the first lot there!!!

Mattb,

Weetwood eh! I was at Highbury Cricket Club a few weeks ago as our lot were playing in the first round of a cup and we were knocked out. Since found out that we are through to the final as Highbury were playing unregistered players!! Woohoo!!!
