Im gonna stick my neck on the line and say it will be corroded wiring thats to blame, have you checked all the large fuses inside the engine fusebox and when i say large i mean the huge ones underneath that can go un noticed. As said the roof ecu can disable the roof permanantly giving the impression its faulty but you still get the beeps when you try the switch.

When you take the top off, the fusebox lifts out you have to unlip 3 prongs then fold it over and you will see the huge fuses.

pp2000 is here, gonna try to get on it today just been working lots of hours ,i will post back with any findings , also i have realised if i dont start it for a couple of days the battery goes flat , dont know if i have a drain somewhere

i had a thought dont know if this is possible but, could it be somebody has replaced bsi/ecu etc maybe from a non cc type 206? , so maybe the car 'thinks' is not a convertible model

Anything is possible but I doubt it, the bsi is programmable to whether its in a convertible or not and can be told if it has a roof ecu to operate or not.

As far as the battery is concerned it could be at the end of its life, give it a good long charge off the car, flat batteries can cause all sorts of phantom problems in these cars with the dreaded bsi's.

One thing to note with the pp2000, when you first get it working make sure you clear all found codes (if any) before you start to act on them as there could be old ones from other times and complete random phantoms from the flat battery.

It will only run on windows xp too

hello again, i plugged the laptop up the the car with the pp2000, it tells me that the engine ecu and bsi have no faults, when checking the 'sunroof' its says ecu failed to respond, i wonder if the roof ecu i bought was duff

You replaced the ecu? Have you still got the old one? If so try plugging it in. Where there any faults at all?

If you did as i said you may need to do a full cycle of unlock car drive it lock it, open it and rescan again

I bought a spare ecu and mine still didnt work it wasn't until i got the diag machine that i realised the bsi had disabled it and infact my original one was fine all along

Economy mode should dissappear once the car is started.

Check the connectors on the roof ecu for a bent or missing pin ...
