Surely we wouldn't be much difference on power/weight ratio? You're 400bhp in, what, 1250kg? I don't know how much the body kit stuff adds but let's say it makes it 1300kg. That's 308bhp/tonne.
I'm 360bhp in 1150kg, so that's 313bhp/tonne. Not a lot in it. And remember that's 360 "TVR" horses, which are a bit smaller than ordinary horses
If you're up for the 23 May I'll book myself up. But drag racing really isn't my thing, so I don't want to do it if you're not there on the day.

well I'll give it a go, if anything it will be a laugh. Better to do it in June as I'm at every show in may.

should be fun tho, maybe the cc club could make an appearance and if other members want to run they can but the three of us will be for sure.

Not much time to practise my launch technique
Before the Cerb I had an Impreza which was easy -- 7000rpm and dump the clutch...
I suspect if I try the same trick with the TVR I'll be doing a 1/4 mile of >30 seconds (and be needing a new set of rear tyres within 30 seconds, too).
Anyone know somewhere that does top speed runs as well as 1/4 miles? I guess you need a pretty long runway (and the intelligence to know at which point you start braking). I think they do them at Elvington, but it's a bit of a trot for me. And I don't think there's much chance of them letting me do it at Stansted
