don't know where to put the phone holder .. anyone got any ideas? there just doesnt seem to be any space anywhere unless its right over the passenger's side of the car. :?
There's a company called Dashmount which does mounts which don't screw holes in the dash. I had one for the Vectra, they're great and well designed but a bit steep at £20+vat for what is just a piece of bent metal.

The 206 one they do fits here. It looks like it would still kneecap a passenger but is probably the neatest solution around.

microphone attaches just behind the steering wheel - seems to work well.
I got one off Ebay for my 6510 which I intended to remove the cigar plug, mount it properly, and extend the mic using an extension lead.

When I pulled it apart, the boom mic which plugs into one side is just for show - the socket it plugs into is not connected! There are four pins on the Nokia connector, mic+ and -, and ear+ and -, only the ear ones are connected - so this kit uses the phones mic! They've gone to a lot of trouble for show!

I'm still going to try and pick up the other two pins and connect the mic up either out of the courtesy light assembly (can get the cover as a spare part when selling) or up the sill like most carkits go.

For what it's worth though the kit was £6 off ebay and works reasonably well, although the 206cc's placing of the cigar socket means you can't have the phone facing you otherwise you can't get into reverse...

I'm interested to know whether your kit is the same, and if your extension mic works or if it just relies on the phone mic...

I got one of those earpieces and a cradle thst attaches to a heating vent although the weight of the cradle tips the vent forward and If I go over a sharp bump the vent pops out - Pug build quality for ya :(
