i've only ever seen small silver ones with doors that open, a black one with a working roof would be fantastic

Did some web surfing - I fancy one too...:) They seem to be made by a company called Welly. At 1:18 I reckon they're 21cm long? The detail on the Welly ones seems much better than the Maisto ones. Around £18-£24 from two UK places, the dearer of which will do five sets of personalised plates for them :) Blue/Silver/Green and red.

http://www.wellydiecast.com ... is that cool or what!

http://www.modelmarque.co.uk/acatalog/Peugeot.html (Blue/Green only) @ £24.49 inc 5 free personalised plates or http://www.antics.ltd.uk/acatalog/Main_ ... 6_221.html (Silver/Blue/Green/Red) @ £19.49 but no personalised plates. The 206cc is right down the bottom of the page and the images take a while to load.

Silver http://www.antics.ltd.uk/acatalog/9858S.jpg
Blue http://www.antics.ltd.uk/acatalog/9858Bwell.jpg
Green http://www.antics.ltd.uk/acatalog/9858GRwell.jpg
Red http://www.antics.ltd.uk/acatalog/9858rwell.jpg

Both are 1:18 by Welly, UK importers are Ripmax with SRP of £16.99 so more than likely any model dealer can order them given the product code from http://www.ripmax.com/PriceList/D2000.htm

Now all it needs is someone clever to fit two motors and a random timer to get the lid to go up and down on its own :)

Odd that. Not so popular maybe :) Not tempted to buy another colour and respray? (FWIW when I bought mine it was a toss up between blue, silver or black. Went for blue, don't think it shows the dirt as bad).

The other mfr on antics.ltd.uk doesn't do black either in the 1:24 but the quality looks really poor (though reflected in the £7 price tag I guess).

Did you notice in your searching if you can get right hand drive models?

Not that I could see I'm afraid. I only came up with the two manufacturers, Welly 1:18 and Maisto 1:24. Even though Welly are in HK I guess there's more call for LHD's.
