90kmh in a 60 zone.
To our UK friends, you can lose your license here on the spot for doing 25kmh over the speed limit. I was lucky.
I was coming out of Lorne along the Ocean Road, and thought the speed limit had reverted back to 100. I then saw a 60 sign, realised it hadn't changed yet, and braked. Looked in my mirror in time to see the police car pull out and put his lights on.
So he pulled me over, to the delight of the two cars I'd just passed after driving behind them for the last 10km before Lorne and had pressured to get past. Fortunately he was a nice guy, accepted my explanation, and only gave me a $125 ticket for speeding by less than 10kmh.
Much rather have a $125 fine and 1 demerit point than no license!!!
