The best use for it is when I switch computer output to my TV (68cm Sony WEGA) and watch a DVD, so I take the mouse and put it on the coffee table as the remote!!!

Yeah that's the one I have. I've only had to change batteries twice since I got it in April. I use whatever extra long life Ultra thingy alkalines (Energizer / Duracell) I find at the time.
