You can turbo a 206cc which will kick out an impressive 350bhp, the only BIG downside is it will cost you in the regon of 8-9k. A friend of mine works for a company who will do this and he told me you basically get a new engine as everything has to be uprated on it. I am thinking about it myself but its a toss up between a turbo or spending it on interior and bodywork, mmm not sure what to do??

ive heard you can get a proper garret turbo installation for about 4 grand, pushin a standard cc to about 250bhp, then they have to chip it etc etc so i reckon you will be lookin at 300 bhp after 5 grand spending. thats competing against sunny gti-r's
the brakes on the cc are really good anyway, but if you are gonna go as far as a turbo (LOL) id recommend the gti rears at least!
as for nos, ive been told that you can only really look at roughly 50% more than the standard power output for a safe gain. personally then, id get 50bhp jets for a 2.0 cc.
i read on here somewhere that a bloke asked his peugeot dealership to do it and they said yeah! dunno about that like!

I reckon you could get Turbo Technics to do an installation for you. They do one for the Elise that uses a sort of supercharger/turbocharger hybrid -- the induction side is a turbocharger but it's mechanically driven. If you could persuade them there was a market for these (e.g. get a few people interested) they might even waive the development costs. Strictly you'd need to get the compression ratio down (thicker head gaskets would be a good start) but it depends how hard you're blowing.
In the US, lots of people run supercharged MX-5s. I think the kit is available for around the equivalent of £1000 from the likes of Jackson Racing. IIRC they usually run about 6-9psi -- for comparison a standard Scoob runs about 12-13psi. So pretty low stress, I reckon. Some people are running 250 bhp in their MX-5s

hi all
i m new here and i have a 206 cc 2.0 GTI
i also wrote to ecosse for turbo conversion and i got an answer
We can do a Turbo conversion for the 206 GTI, this will give approx 270BHP, but because of the large amount of custom work and the amount of strengthening and uprating that we need to do to keep it reliable you would be looking at approx £8500+VAT, however we can also do a Supercharger for the 206 GTI which takes power to around 220BHP, this costs around £4800+VAT, the best thing you can do is to give us a call on 01506 516 106 for more info or to speak to one of our technicians to discuss your budget and what options are open to you,
