The S.1279 is only required for the listed late-model vehicles, and is also available separately. It is definitely not needed for your 206CC.

I have done several installations of PP2000 and have had no problems provided I followed the advice given.

I don't care about the computer, as I have an old Win XP machine collecting dust. And the warning is because the cracked software already contains a virus in it :-).
But could this hurt the car?

I don't think it actually does contain a virus. Rather, the crack has some of the characteristics of a virus, so some anti-virus software report a false positive.

The cars on which I have used the software have not suffered in the slightest.

I didn't take a chance. I downloaded a copy from PeugeotForums when it existed. That was a known virus-free copy. Still using it 15 years later!

The virus is never in the installation, its in the crack :-). but I will take a chance and order it.
