What he has registered is a fault to the seat belt pre-tensioners. If the seat doesn't have side air bags or occupancy pad, then that will be the only airbag circuit going through the wires under the seat.
If he is disconnecting a connector that is already registered as disconnected, then he won't get a change in fault codes. This is why I asked him if he had checked wiring. The fault could simply be a pre-tensioner or the wiring to it.
It may well be the airbag module, but I personally would have confirmed that the fault being reported by the system; isn't the cause first.
When the module goes faulty, you usually get a "No communication" fault .
Hopefully he will report back on the outcome as this helps other people with similar faults.
