I have a 55 plate 206cc, whenever I'm driving with under a 1/4 of a tank of fuel the engine will randomly cut out. It then takes a bit of cranking to get it going again then will be fine for a few miles before happening again. It happens more when at low speeds/idle. I've changed the fuel filter recently. I always drive around with more than 1/4 tank to prevent this from happening but the Mrs refuses to drive the car with the possibility of it happening to her. Any ideas on how to solve this issue?
Kind regards
Mike

Re: Brief loss of fuel under 1/4 tank
From 1/4 of a tank, how many litres to fill it up? (will tell you if it is actually empty or is infact 1/4 full)

Re: Brief loss of fuel under 1/4 tank
Could be a foreign object (eg leaf) in the tank, momentarily blocking the pump inlet.
