Hi Guys,

Got a hydraulic oil leak in the boot from the Rear shelf strut which is the jack that moves the rear shelf up and down when you put the roof down or up.

The faulty part is item number 17 that you see in (1 - 4 - MOVING REAR SHELF HINGE MECHANISM ASSEMBLY) in the repair guide in the link below:

http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-20 ... ab0af3.htm

I have checked with dealer here and they say it is not available and they have to order it which might take more that 3 months.

I travel to the UK every month or so and was wondering if you guys can help me in from where I can buy it and any estimated cost would be appreciated.
The car is 204 chassis number: vf32dnfur4w008200

Thanks

Sorry. I would go to a Peugeot main dealer. Don't know of any other source. Presumably this is a slow moving spare part with little demand and they probably collate a few orders before placing a production order. Hence no stock at present.
You could always try a vehicle dismantler for one off an accident damaged write off.

It may not necessary to change the whole rear shelf strut, u may just need to change the oil seal. Please refer http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-20 ... bg19f3.htm; how to take it out strut.

It may a bit tricky on how to take out the seal clipper (because the design never allow u to do so; anyway u can drill a small hole on it to pull it out.

Good Luck....

Hi, I have the same problem and wanted to visit the above link but when I clicked on it there appeared "404 Page not found". Does anyone know if the link has been changed or give me the partnumber of the rear shelf strut or the oil seal and where I could order them?
Many thanks in advance!
Michael

Try pug206cc-spares on ebay ...

http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/pug206cc-spares/

they break 206s and often advertise cc roof parts ... they may have what you need

Hi gazza82, thanks for your suggestion about "pug206cc-spares" and their link!
Do you really advice me to order a second hand strut from them?
Do you perhaps know how much a new one would cost me?
Consider that I am not living in the UK but in Italy...
Hope to hear you again and thanks in advance!
Have a good evening!

Just suggesting if you can't fix yours, they might be an alternative. That's also on the assumption they will ship to Italy.

I've had a look on servicebox, which is the Peugeot parts system, but can't find anything that resembles a seal unless they are part of the kit 8448 H7 (Kit - seal + bolt) but that seems to be for the actual hydraulic pump.

Also, as a small suggestion it would help us if everyone added their location under their Profile ... even if it's just country ... that way we can adjust the recommendations and suggestions accordingly especially if we know a potential supplier won't ship outside UK and therefore wasting your time.

I clicked on the link you suggested (the Peugeot parts system "Servicebox") but I need to fill-in a username and password... what should I fill in?

Yes I already guessed that but can anyone register or is it only for certain companies, dealers etc.?
