I've had a mail from my local dealer saying that the 207 will launch on 6th June

That of course will be the hatchback

So I guess the CC will be another 12 months?

Personally I believe they will really have to pull something special out of the hat this time round. When the 206CC came out you had a choice of two folding metal roof cars: the SLK (expensive) and the 206CC (cheaper, plus a couple of extra seats). Now everyone's making them.

Maybe a 207CC V6, with the engine in the back seats a la Clio V6? ;)

thx for letting us know tiranova :)

seen the normal 207 on fifth gear last week :? can't say i like the styling as the headlights look far too big for the front of the car, it should at 1 foot wider at least to look more in proportion

I read last week that the 1st model out will be the 1.4 something costing £8995 - a little extortinate I think.......

Been looking at a number of cars in that price range recently and the 207 will need to be something special at that price to compete.

Last week I was looking at the Fiat Grande Punto. The Active Sport model is £8,495 - it might be a Fiat but it's a good looking car with impressive spec. Only thing I didn't like was the front which was a bit plain but the rest is good. Front fogs, side skirts, rear spoiler, fully colour coded and a number of toys inside.

Also all new Clio models are priced comparitively and they are offering 4yrs 0% finance. Peugeot will need to be competitive to get sales. Closing Ryton won't have helped them.

It's strange: the big lights and wing mirrors make it look like a much smaller car.
