Just collected a 206cc on my way home from work. 2001, model, 1.6, 22,000 miles on the clock.

I have only driven it a short distance - around 8 miles............

........... but ....................

so far - NO squeaking breaks. No pulling to any side. And the roof works perfectly!

Its dry today though, so no idea yet if there are any leaks.

Fingers crossed, eh!

One thing I noticed - the clutch pedal has much more 'movement' than in my last car, and the 'bite' is quite a far way from the floor. I guess I'll get used to it though. As long as its not an indication of the clutch 'going'.

Can't wait to drive it in the morning [in daylight]

my first topless CCing was on march 3rd 2001 (brandnew - pickup day), showing -2 on the temp gauge but the "cheshire cat smile" more than made up for it

Lovely pics!!

A quick question.

My pug had a personal number plate, which stayed with the previous owner and the old number plates were returned to the car.

The one at the front is white. The one on the back is yellow. Is this usual? I've never really noticed the colours of number plates before. I had kinda assumed both front and rear would be the same colour. Not sure I like the yellow one much.

It is normal that the front plate is black lettering on a white background and the rear is black lettering on a yellow background.

yup that's normal, it's UK law to have yellow on the back :)
