Both my dad and me hold full uk driving licences, ( have catagory B etc)

We both drive automatic cars.

When filling out our change of address forms, we noticed that automatic licences were a catagory B ( auto) not just the standard catagory B

do we need to have on our licences that we drive automatic cars, or is that covered on the catagory B??

Hello,
If you done your test in manual then you can drive a manual or auto, but if you passed in auto you cant drive manuals.

thanx, i thought that was right, just wanted to check

oh and i didnt have a choice but to drive an automatic... my legs are short, so i dont get on very well with clutches

my dad on the otherhand, well i dunno he just likes automatic, spose he does drive about 1000 miles a week, so ill let him off
