Just thought id introduce myself. Just got 53 reg 2.0 SE Which im V-E-R-Y Impressed with so far
I used to belong the The Smart Club. Yes thats for Smart cars , i had the misfortune to own a Roaster Coupe (all style NO substance!)
Any how here i am. Just one thing..................... Am i alone in being a male owner!!! : Just that guys at work say 'Like the new car i didnt know you are a hairdresser ' How droll.
I've had all the hairdresser comments and gay car of the year references - there's two ways of taking it and I prefer the envy one! The CC is a wonderful car. Some here on the forum have had problems, but I've been lucky - a leak at the beginning (no, not through too many beers!) but that was corrected and it was trouble free since.
Almost 3 years on it's been a wonderful experience and I look forward to giving someone else the joy of my CC.
I've ordered a MINI Cooper S Cabrio for delivery in April (sigh - same waiting game as I did with my 206CC). This time I've taken a defensive position to all the comments about hairdressers, gay cars, etc....
My new licence plate is "NODDDY" - so just let someone call it a NODDY car and the only thing I can be corrected for is spelling!
Life is too serious. The CC is all about fun and enjoyment of driving. Never let anyone make you feel small because you have a small car. As I said, the comments that are made are most likely from envy - not just about the car but also about the person who drives it not being prepared to say "I don't want to conform, I want to have a good time"
I had some guy verbally attack me calling my car a girlie car but having thought about it I said at least I have more imagination than to want to get a Honda Civic.
Excluding the Type R aren't Civic's boring compared to a CC?[/quote]
