the specifications brochure for the Quiksilver model from earlier this year please?
You may know from previous postings that my Quiksilver was delivered with black hoops and not aluminium. According to the specifications for the model found on their website and in the brochure handed out at the garage it should have been fitted with aluminium as standard. I took this up with Peugeot over 3 months ago and was eventually told by my dealer that they were on order etc etc. no problem. I left it a few weeks to give them the benefit of the doubt. When I contacted them again, there was a new service manager (the old one had left under a cloud I gather!) and he had no record of anything that the previous chap had said or done.
I had to start all over again. Very frustrating. But to give the new chap his due, he has been extremely helpful and for once, he rang me today and not the other way around.
The upshot of it is this - they are now saying that, as a goodwill gesture only, Peugeot will supply the hoops free of charge if I pay the fitting charge of £35 plus VAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rollocks will I pay for fitting. Get this. Apparently, all Quiksilvers manufactured after 6th May were not fitted as standard so therefore I was not entitled to them.
What I would like if anyone has got it, is a copy of the specs please. Page 19 in particular. They have conveniently changed the website now and I cannot find my brochure anywhere.
Many thanks.
Has anyone got ..........

Hi Coolchick.
I bought my wife a quiksilver and picked it up at the end of April and it didn't have the chrome hoops either.
The Quiksilver brochure shows the car with chrome hoops on, unfortunately the brochure's detailed specification of what's included with the car (e.g. quiksilver upholstery, chrome exhaust trim etc.) does not list chrome hoops as part of the spec.
Fortunately my dealer was able to get hold of the hoops from Peugeot and fitted them for me all free of charge.
I can't believe your dealer would go to all the hassle of sourcing free hoops for you but not let one of his service people spend 10 minutes fitting them free of charge.

Do you know what - I never thought of that. Probably because I was in such a rage about it! I'll see what my friendly little service manager has to say about thattell um you'll take the hoops FOC and fit um yourself
Maybe not in the brochure but it certainly did on their website (I can't find my printed copy). They may have taken it off the UK website (sneaky) but I have just printed the exact thing off the french websiteunfortunately the brochure's detailed specification of what's included with the car (e.g. quiksilver upholstery, chrome exhaust trim etc.) does not list chrome hoops as part of the spec.
Watch this space.
