Air Con

Does any one have a problem with there air con when they turn the air con off but leave the air flow on, I seem to be getting a smell like a swimming pool?
Can any one advise.
New 53 Plate allure, Blue, one of the first in the UK.
Car has been rejected.
04 plate 1.6s same spec as the Allure.
mods to date:
:Rear lex lights.
:Wind stop.

yeah ive got that problem and so has a lot of other people... from memory its bacteria build up in the air conditioning, and there is a product available that kills it.

I'm not sure what its called though, maybe halfords stock it.

Just conacted peugeot
car is booked in on Sat to be looked at.
They said that it is likely to be a bacteria build up and that they dont know of any product that can solve the build up, only that you try to run your AC for about 10min per week.
All the work will be covered by peugeot.
I will let you know if i have any problems.

IIRC they spray some sort of antibacterial stuff in when they do an aircon service. Bear in mind that the Pug dealer probably doesn't do aircon servicing themselves, but subs it out to someone like autoclimate. Better to go direct, IMHO.

All three cars ive used with air con have suffered the smell problem, but only after being used ... then it goes away ??

my aircon works and 1,2 and 3 but the fan doesnt and then the goes off when i put the fan on 4 and 4 is the only setting the fan works on
