i pulled up to the mersey tunnel, gave the bird a fiver, waited ages, barrier never went up. after ages i reversed (glad it wasn't busy) and moaned, she said i had to throw money in the bucket. I was like, "no, i've already paid you!"
Seems she gave me a fivers worth of change - i never even looked to see what she gave me
too used to the dartford tunnel! next time i'm in liverpool i'll just pay by cheque!

When we started to queue, a car from the next queue along moved into our queue. He was originally in the "no change given" section. So he caused chaos moving into our queue, but the fool didn't realise it was also "no change given". In the end, a driver from another car had to get out and give him the change! Made me giggle. He was very flustered and red-faced - hee hee!
