I have a confession to make....the day after i picked my new CC up i thought i would give my little sister a lift to school. Due to the early hour there was a lot of morning dew on the car.
I spent a good minute or so searching for the rear window wiper switch.
Doh!
Please don't think badly of me.
At least i feel better for telling you all.

if the car is stationery then the window gets wet and it's harder to see but using the HRW for a few minutes makes a difference. if the car is moving then hardly any rain lands on the window.

my last 6 cars have all been peugeot hatch backs and although i initially missed the rear wiper you soon get used to not having one.

derek

p.s. would look a bit silly if it did have one

I have heard that RainX is good stuff but does it make the wipers squeak?

Also is it only the new model CC that has rain sensitive wipers as my 'old' one doesn't have them?

Cheers

All

I've not had the squeaking problem....

But then again I'd just turn up the stereo if I did anyway !

Yes I think it's best just to put the RainX on the rear window as the front sqeak loads with the wipers on.

Am I being thick but isn't the whole point of Rain-X meaning you don't need to use your wipers???

On the subject of wipers, does anyone else agree with me that they look, well, a bit cheap and nasty especially with the big f*** off chunky box thing on the bottom of the one arm. When its wiping i don't think it looks as smooth and sleek as it should on a car thats so smooth and sleek. Even if it has got a fat a***!!!

wipers are the same as a standard 206. i don't think peugeot could justify the cost of redesigning wipers just for the CC.

also good to be reminded about rain-x, i bought it while waiting on my replacement and had forgot about it. might use it on the back.

GregS, yep I think your right, that chunky piece is about the only thing not keeping with the rest of the car. Shame.

Is it just the 2.0ltr 2002 model that has the rain sensitive wipers as mine only adjust with the speed of the car?

I think it is just the 2.0 litre but not 100% sure
