I am going to look at a 51-reg 2.0 SE later this week for my girlfriend and was just wondering what would be the common things to look for that go wrong, i.e. common problems that most people seem to experience.
As you can imagine, if there are tell tale signs of problems, I would like the garage to fix them before I buy!
Many thanks

Make sure it's got a full warranty!!! A 51 plate will be running out of the Pug 3 year warranty soon I guess - see how much an extended warranty would cost.
Also check for signs of leakages from the door seals, any strange vibrations from the engine and make sure that the roof goes up & down OK (test it several times to make sure).

Is there an optional extra year on warranty, does anyone know?
I ask because my car is coming up for a year old and its got 3 years warranty left, which has all been transferred to me as the new owner. I just assumed it was a 4 year warranty to start with..
A little confused, but happy about it!
