I recenlty ordered my wheel arches from my local peugeot dealer, i went to pick my car up and it looked phat!!!
i then went on a little drive, only to smell my tyres rubbing and making horrible noises!!
when i stoped i looked at the back arches and they were hanging off!!!
and my tyres were scratched!!
i took it back to puegeot who said i had a funny feeling this would happen as your car is lowered, so they had to take them off, im now stuck with my arches in my boot gathering dust, i know have to pay for a bodyshop to cut them down and glue them on.
Has anyone else had this problem, and do you think puegeot should have told me before they put them on, as i have now wasted money getting them fitted with puegeot!!!!!

Yup that is a problem if the car is lowered much more than 40mm.. And/or the wheel offset is more than 28mm..
Basically the metal retaining clips protrude too much and that is what is rubbing on the tyre..
The way round it is to get the arches bonded on to the car, so there is no need for the clips to be fitted..
You could do it yourself..
Get some Mastic.. (the type that is used for bonding windscreens in) Run it along the inside or the arch where it contacts with the vehicle body.. Clip them on.. Let the mastic go off for 24hours then remove the metal clips.. Job done..

i thought u needed arch work done too with 18's. mines is lowered 60mm at rear with standard 16s with w/a extensions and fine although the gap is very very small.
k80sty fitted 18s and had to get arches rolled if i remember right and i don't think she has w/a extensions.
