Has anybody had any experience of trading in an Import 206CC with a (non Peugeot) dealer and if so what sort of trade in price were they offered?

I own an Import 03 Plate Silver 2 litre CC which was first registered in April 03 and was wondering what sort of trade in value I would be looking at? Car doesn't have leather and was pre registered by the dealer before I bought it. Car has currently covered just under 8000 miles.

A guy I work with had a green March 02 2.0se import. Last month he traded it in for an Impreza WRX. He got £12000 for the CC.

How would the dealer know it's an import? Ours has a UK owners manual and a UK service book.

If somebody offered me £12K for it I would rip their arm off!!

Thats a decent trade in but I assume the dealer had quite a margin to work with so could offer a decent price. I used to own an Impreza and I know just how willing dealers are to do a deal to sell them now.

As for finding out if the car is an import mine came with a Spanish handbook and service book although I have since managed to get hold of a UK handbook.

I am looking at part exchanging the car for something along the lines of a similar value Audi A4 or BMW 3 series and was just wondering what sort of value people would expect for this car as trade in.

If you look in the service book it tells you where it was registered. I had a GTi 206 import which was registered in Amsterdam. Also when I went to book it in for its first service after 6 months, the peugeot garage typed in the registration and the computer automatically showed it as an import.
Im not sure if an HPI check would show it as an import.

Have a look at the cars for sale, he originally had it up for 14,000 grand.
A little bit optomistic I think................

when i was considering a 307CC recently, the dealer asked if my 206CC was an import.

i guess most dealers will do that now as there are so many imports around.
