I can't make it to this driveday organised by Gavin at 206gti.net, Huu - you might like to join up with them? Email Gavin at 206gti@chillilounge.com.au

WAKEY WAKEY GUY's and GIRLS IT's TIME FOR ANOTHER SYDNEY DRIVE
DAY!!! I have placed a noted on the 206gti.net site and emailed
every on on my mailing list re the 19th October. So far we have had
THREE PEOPLE RESPOND!!

The weather is getting better and better each day so we would love
to see more 206CC's attend! Spread the word. If you are available
email me!!

I returned from the FIA WRC RALLY AUSTRALIA in Perth earlier this
month. While FIA seem to be keen to ruin the sport from a
specatators perspective, the actually competition between the
drivers was brilliant to watch. If you have never been to a WRC
event in Perth, start planning NOW. In 2004 we are the LAST Rally of
the season. . . NOVEMBER 12-14th. The full 2004 season can be found
here : http://www.wrc.com/en_GB/News/2003/012/ ... lendar.htm

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN ON A DRIVE DAY BEFORE, I GUARANTEE THIS IS THE
DAY YOU SHOULD COME ALONG!!

Troy and I met up a little over a week ago to plan our next drive
day. We had a plan and last Saturday I decided to go for a test
drive to check it out. I drove just short of 600km in search of a
good drive. On my travels I took this `lane' and oh my god, what an
amazing run! I drove for over an hour and met only two cars on the
road. I can't wait to get back out there, as this was a chance to
really `drive' the 206GTi. This road had everything you could
possibly want with the exception of a water splash:

The road surface was like three WRC Rally's in one

The road twisted and turned and yet you could take them at speed
since you could see round the corners

There was this huge hill where the road went straight down and up
the other side

I went over numerous old single lane wooden bridges

Over an old railway track

And, there were brilliant hair-pin bends!

Please note there is a section of around 1.0km which is gravel. To
ensure safety and for the protection of our cars I propose we pass
through this stage with plenty of distance between each other.
However this gravel track is in excellent condition. Once on the
other side the road just gets better . . . trust me J

MEETING PLACE: 150 Epping road (the HUGE Shell Petrol Statio n)
ARRIVAL TIME: 9.00am (sorry it is early but we have to get over the
mountains)
DEPARTURE TIME: 9.30am sharp
DESTINATION: Lithgow via Bells line of Road and through Tarana.

Kind Regards

Gavin

The Aussie Frogs forum (www.aussiefrogs.com) Sydney members are planning on joining the 206gti.net drive day.

I might try to get out of keeping the GF company while she studies!!
