I know many of you have had the dreaded drivers side leak. It's the one that occurs from time to time when the car has been parked in the rain and the door seal fills with water and then drenches you the first time you brake after driving off.
I've had my CC supposedly repaired, but the problem is still there. Peugeot Australia are now trying to tell me it's part and parcel of the car. I don't accept this for two reasons 1) not all owners have reported the problem and 2) who in their right mind would design a car to leak?
I'd like to gather some data that helps demonstrate not all CC's experience this problem. I'll let you know how I get on - however if they insist the leak is part of the car design then I'll request a letter on Peugeot letterhead that states this and will happily post her for all to see!
There's some service dept honcho from Head Office Sydney coming to Melbourne next month and I will be meeting with him. I'd like to be armed with this data for that meeting.
Thanks in advance for you help.
Have You Experienced The Drivers Side Leak?
if you dont have luck, perhaps a post to www.notgoodenough.org might be the go.
I only have leaks after washing the car - which I think is to be expected - the seal does a very good job of keeping rain out. I can imagine using a hose or spray would let water in since rain doesn't do the horizontal thingPeugeot Australia are now trying to tell me it's part and parcel of the car.
Dave
only ever had it once in this car and it was the day after i got it.
the phone call to the dealership threatening rejection once again must have been heard by the CC and it then decided to behave itself
as you know i had this on my 1st CC but they never got it fixed. they actually added the driver side rear, passenger side front and passenger side rear leaks to it as well.
<<<<<<<< who'd have them

Hi there as i mentioned in my earlier post-the problem exists if there is a slight misalignment in the roof. This slight misalignment will cause the drivers window not to mate correctly in the underside of the roof, and as the roof is opened/closed continuosly sometimes the misalignment will be corrected for when shuting the roof with ur clips. The remedy is to check 1ce the roof has been closed put your windows up fully and run and press in your finger along the top of the window- if it physicallly pushes in then there is a misalignment to rememdy this operate the roof again and retry the window test until you can both see the window settled under the roof in up/down electric power and also that you dont have to push the window under the roof. I know it sounds complicated but it really isnt, this could prove a usefull aid in the winter when you rarely put the roof down. Just to let you know a peugeot factory tech told me this, luckily i live in ryton where they make 206s by the million. I also asked if it was truly fixable - the response was yes when they get more time to make the cars as they are up to 86 an hour!!!
I was very happy to receive my new CC Allure in mid September...
And no leaks on the drivers side!?!
However, we've just had the first real rain since I got the car and now there are drips coming in from the passenger side. They are coming in by the roof clips - I'm guessing it's a problem where the seals join above the window...
It happens with rain (i.e. not just when washing the car) and not under breaking like others have reported - although the leak is not that bad, I have resorted to placing a towel over the lovely leather... Does anyone recognise these symptoms or am I alone?!?
Car going in Friday...I'm scared now after reading all the reports that it'll come back worse!
