Alright guys n girls here is the story. As you all know I drove into a german tank 5 weeks ago ( mecedes cab ) and today I picked up my car, it took them 5 weeks to fix it.
( http://leetanime.roarvgm.com/temp/index.html crash photo's )
Today was the big day, all is fixed, the ' fixing comany ' took the Pug to Peugeot, they said all is well. And the car is, it drives smoothly, straight line, no strange noises.
However, I noticed that the right handle of the ' roof opener ' was very loose, like someone had used too much power and it also did not stay in is place. kept falling down and hanging to the roof. I thought , well, not really serious, they'll fix that when I go back next week. Then I opened the roof, nice. But it started to rain, so I pulled the roof up, only to notice that I had to use A LOT OF POWER to close the roof. I wonder if my girlfriend would be able to close the roof. So opened the roof again and closed without pulling the 'closing handles ' down.
And to my shock I noticed that the roof is 1 centimeter higher on the driver's site compared to the passenger site! No wonder one has to use a lot of power and I guess they also had to use it on the passenger site, which had ' loosened ' the handle.
ALSO I noticed 2 minor scratches on the roof of the driver's site that weren't there when I picked the car up 30 minutes before. I took the car back, told them about it, they will take a look at it next week and fix the scratch. I will have to bring it in next week.
It looks like the roof has also been hit when I crashed my car, remember it was down in the trunk when I crashed with 20 miles into the Mercedes.
What should I do now ? If I take it back I am afraid they will put 80 kilos of weight on it to ' lower ' the left site of the car. The new car value is euro 23,000. If the total damage is 2/3d I wil get the 23,000 euros. So far they have spend 12,500 euros on it, if the new damage is more than euro's 2.800, then the damage will be more than 2/3 , which offers me the chance to refuse the car and get a new one ( the car is 10 months old ).
Any advice is appreaciated!
Roof horror !

But when I close the roof with the handles all is well, but like I said, I have to use lots of force. And when I close/open and try to reclose the handles then it's not even possible! I have to open the roof a little bit and close the roof before I can re-close the handles. This sucks!
Mostly I am mad because the first thing I asked 4 and a half weeks ago was: Is the roof still working ok, and they said yes, no damage at all.....

they opened and closed it, it was working they sais. But they did not look very good then, did they ? I just went out to take a short ride and I turned the radio off only to hear some strange noises when I took a corner, like there was too little fluid in the powersteering, a scratching sound. I am really pissed, 5 weeks repair and this mess! Monday morning 9 am I am at the garage and will rent a 206 CC which they will have to refund! They gave me a normal 206 1.4 as a rental car ( it's not a peugeot repair shop, its one that my insurance company advised/preferred. )Did they not test this at the time then???
