Mine must have been when I was overtaken by a beat-up H-reg Lada on a dual carriageway - he must have been doing well over 90.

Needless to say, I put my foot down & returned the favour ;)

Here's mine:

the day after i picked my new CC up i thought i would give my little sister a lift to school. Due to the early hour there was a lot of morning dew on the car.
I spent a good minute or so searching for the rear window wiper switch.

last summer turning up at home with my spanking new CC with the roof down only to find the next door neighbours had just bought a 2nd hand honda....

not really embarrasing but I felt like they were thinking he has just done that to get one over on us when I had no idea they were changing their car!

My classic has got to be when I had driven to a restaurant with the roof down. When we got there the roof wouldn't close. I put the windows up and down and up and down, checked the boot, got back in and re-tried but nothing would get the roof back up.
I called the AA who said they would meet me at my house. So I drove home to wait for them.
While I was waiting I thought I best run through all my checks just to make sure I wasn't being dumb.
What a silly a** I am when I realised the boot screen wasn't across!!!
I then called the AA to tell them my stupidity and apologised!

The day I got my cc. I was showing off the roof to my mates when I got home from picking the car up. My girlfriend opened the passenger door and forgot to close it properly and I rung Peugeot saying my STOP light keeps flashing and the interior light keeps flashing on ond off. To which they replied check to see if your passenger door is closed. Doh

Another one from me - when I'm driving I have a nasty habit of resting my hand on the handbrake and fiddling with the cigarette lighter. The other day I was doing this and suddenly felt a strange tingling sensation on my finger along with a nasty burning flesh smell.

Yep, I'd inadvertently heated it up then touched the end. Ouch! I now have a perfectly round burnt flesh mark on my middle finger :yikes:

i've had the roof down, then when in stationary traffic i've rested my left arm and my elbow catches the button for the roof, which then starts coming back up  :D

I nearly smashed my Citroen into the rear of a doubledecker. He didnt have any brake lights! and yes, I was a safe distance away from the rear at the time.
