Right, my SLK I've had for only 5 weeks is going in for warranty work:

1). Alarm arms itself after 2 minutes when unlocked (bloody annoying)
2). Twice recently car wouldn't lock/unlock
2). Indicator stalk doesn't always automatically return
3). Noticed a rattling somewhere around 1500 revs

The squeek in the dash panel where it butts against the door has gone thankfully (mice probably on their way to Julias

).

The wind noise through window/roof rubber seal at 90 mph + has gone too thankfully.

BUT - I notice when the roof goes back up their is some creaking in the rubbers for a short while before they settle down.

Oh well :rolleyes: its a bit like my CC niggles, apart from these small annoyances the car is fab, looks great an goes like a bomb, I'm happy with it.

Surely this is by design? My Clifford does the same but after 30 seconds. I thought it was something to do with Cat 1 approval, but the Pug doesn't do it so maybe not.

Yes Carl, I thought that at first cos me partners merc sports coupe has that option when it locks automatically after 2 minutes if left unlocked, but with hers you can deactivate the option.

Unfortunately my SLK alarm arms itself after 2 minutes whilst still remaining unlocked, you have to press the unlock key again before getting in to prevent the alarm sounding.

Looking through the manual theres nothing about the SLK arming itself whilst unlocked, and no mention of being able to deactivate it so I assume its a fault.

My Clifford does exactly that. As a default it arms after 30 seconds but doesn't lock the doors. You can set it to arm and lock the doors after 30 seconds, but then there's a chance you'd lock the keys in there.
